Geochemistry and x-ray diffraction data of rock samples from the Escanaba Trough (Gorda Ridge)
April 2, 2026
Rocks were collected from the Escanaba Trough hydrothermal vent field, Gorda Ridge, in the northeast Pacific Ocean. These data were collected in 2022 on expedition TN403 aboard the R/V Thomas G. Thompson. Rocks were subsampled into Bulk and Rind samples at USGS and then sent to Activation Laboratories and Intertek for major and trace element geochemistry analysis.
