Greenhouse gas flux rates from wetlands of the Prairie Pothole Region of North Dakota, USA, 2023
June 26, 2026
This data release provides data from an in situ study designed to assess microbial soil organic carbon decomposition and methane production using multi-omics techniques in prairie pothole wetlands. Fluxes of carbon dioxide, methane, and nitrous oxide were estimated using static chambers combined with a portable Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR) gas analyzer. Water-quality parameters were measured with a variety of probes and sensors.
