Magnetic susceptibility measurements in the vicinity of the Mesquite Hills, San Bernardino County, California. Susceptibility measurments, made with a Terraplus KT10 magnetic susceptibility meter, were collected on various igneous rocks in the Mesquite HIlls area to better characterize the magnetic properties of igneous rocks in the region. Mafic rocks in the areas are reliably magnetic, whereas felsic rocks are largely non-magnetic, but occasionally locally magnetic.
