Mean of Annual Total Surface Water Proportions from 2015 through 2024, Derived from Dynamic Surface Water Extent and Resampled to Sentinel-2 grid for the contiguous United States
Dynamic Surface Water Extent (DSWE) annual proportions of total surface water processed to the continental US Analysis Ready Data (ARD) tile scheme (https://landsat.usgs.gov/ard_tile) in Sarbanes and Jones 2025 are here resampled to the 20 m Sentinel-2 satellite grid using bilinear interpolation with a 3 by 3 pixel moving window. The resulting 973 tiles, with values ranging from 0 to 100, are included in child items, each with their own metadata. Each child item represents one tile from the Sentinel-2 grid and is noted at the end of the child item name. For example, child item "T10SDH" includes data for the tile "T10SHD".
This landing page includes:
(1) links to all the child items organized by Sentinel-2 tile (see child item links below),
(2) the metadata for this record as a whole (Resampled_DSWE_metadata.xml),
(3) a lookup file identifying child item URLs for each Sentinel-2 tile (Resampled_DSWE_Lookup_Table.csv), and
(4) the code used to perform the resampling (resampling_code.zip).
Users are directed to Sarbanes and Jones (2025) for complete details on the production of the DSWE proportions dataset from which this is derived.
