Metal concentrations in surface sediment and aquatic mosses collected from transboundary rivers in the Pacific Northwest, USA (2019-2023)
September 29, 2026
This data release presents data collected as part of a study focused on Canadian and U.S. transboundary rivers in the Pacific Northwest. Metal concentrations were measured in aquatic mosses and surface sediment samples collected from five Alaskan rivers (Alsek R., Taku R., Unuk R., Salmon R., Stikine R.) from 2019-2023. Metals included cadmium (Cd), copper (Cu), lead (Pb), zinc (Zn), mercury (Hg), aluminium (Al), iron (Fe) and titanium (Ti).
