Peak-flow frequencies and non-peak streamflow statistics for selected streamgages in or near Nevada through water year 2021

September 30, 2026

This U.S. Geological Survey data release consists of multiple datasets of peak-flow and non-peak streamflow statistics along with trend analyses results, for select streamgages in or near Nevada through water year 2021. Peak-flow statistics were calculated in R statistical software environment (R Core Team, 2025) using version 8.0.1 of peakFQ software (Siefken and others, 2025). Non-peak streamflow statistics were computed using the using the R statistical software. The data release includes two child items:
1) Flood-frequency analyses for selected streamgages in or near Nevada through water year 2021 - This item includes ZIP files, organized by the 6-Digit Hydrologic Unit Code (HUC-6) watershed, of all USGS streamgages for which peak statistics were calculated. Each ZIP files contains figures and comma-separated value (CSV) files produced as peakFQ inputs and outputs for each site, and the raw batch PSF and text files that were used for each batch peakFQ run. A csv file for each HUC-6 is also included which contains specifications for calculation parameters and AEP summaries for each streamgage;
2) Non-peak flow statistics for selected streamgages in or near Nevada through water year 2021 - This item includes CSV files of various non-peak streamflow statistics for selected streamgages.
Users can reference the metadata for each child item for more specific details on available data
