Step selection of loggerhead sea turtles along migration in the Gulf of America 2008-2015

This dataset contains step lengths of individual loggerhead sea turtles tracked during their migration in the Gulf of America from 2008 to 2015. Information contained in the dataset includes platform terminal transmitter (PTT) number (a unique identifier for each turtle), the length of each move, year, location in either neritic or oceanic waters, date, longitude, latitude, difference between water direction and turtle direction of travel (in degrees), nighttime sea surface temperature, direction of surface water (degrees), and absolute magnitude of water velocity at surface (meters per second).
