Stream Temperature and Thermal Sensitivity in Pacific Northwest Forest Plan Aquatic Monitoring Sites (2010 - 2019)
Stream temperatures were monitored year-round in select sub-watersheds across the Aquatic and Riparian Effectiveness Monitoring Program (AREMP) area from 2010 to 2019. Data from these surveys were compiled to (1) statistically analyze paired water-air temperature data, (2) quantify the sensitivity of their thermal regime, and (3) determine the relative importance of management actions versus environmental conditions and landscape features that may influence stream thermal sensitivity. This data release includes: 1) shapefiles describing the water temperature logger location (AREMP_PT.shp), basin area integrated by the temperature logger (catchments.shp), and the aquatic province (aquatic_provinces.shp); 2) csv files providing daily stream temperature time series and statistics (temperature_sinewavemodel.csv), and the fitted paired air-water sinusoidal regressions and thermal sensitivity metrics, amplitude ratio and phase lag (outputs_sinewavemodel.csv); 3) csv files describing covariate data related to management actions (e.g., percent canopy cover), environmental conditions (e.g., precipitation) and landscape features (e.g., catchment area) (covariates_gamm.csv) and predictions from amplitude ratio and phase lag generalized additive mixed models (predictions_gamm.csv).
