Structure from Motion data products from the DARPA Reefense Tyndall Air Force Base Hybrid Oyster Reef
This data release contains structure from motion (SfM) photogrammetry products derived from high resolution aerial imagery collected on 11 and 12 January 2025 over the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) Reefense hybrid oyster reef structures offshore of Tyndall Air Force Base, Florida. The imagery was collected using a Department of the Interior-owned uncrewed aerial system (UAS). The flights were conducted during periods of low tide to maximize subaerial exposure of the structure and surrounding areas. The SfM derived products document the fine scale surface morphology of the reef structures and surrounding seafloor at the time of the surveys and are intended to support hydrodynamic modeling to assess the wave energy attenuation provided by the structures and the resulting impact on coastal flooding.
