Watershed Model Input Data for the Great Basin Hydrologic Province and a portion of the Northern Mojave Desert
February 10, 2026
This U.S. Geological Survey data release presents watershed model input point data aggregated for the Great Basin Hydrologic Province and a portion of the Northern Mojave Desert. The original source data was aggregated onto a 200-meter grid, and then converted to a point dataset with each point representing the centroid of a grid cell. The dataset includes information on elevation, impervious surfaces, vegetation cover, vegetation type, and the following soil characteristics: average thickness, percent sand, percent silt, percent clay, available water capacity, and saturated hydraulic conductivity.
