Detailed Description
This unpublished report, "Genetic Structure of Humpback Chub Gila cypha and Roundtail Chub Gila robusta in the Colorado River Ecosystem" by Marlis and Michael Douglas (Douglas and Douglas, 2007) documents the uniqueness of humpback chub in Grand Canyon. This population can be distinguished at the molecular level from the other humpback chub populations above Lake Powell.
