Detailed Description

A desert box turtle in New Mexico. Rangeland Condition Monitoring Assessment and Projection (RCMAP) Project Manager Matthew Rigge snapped this photo while collecting field data. The desert box turtle is considered a Bureau of Land Management sensitive species in some parts of the western United States.
