Detailed Description
Large blueschist blocks crop out above the coastal prairie in low hills along the east shore of Tomales Bay near the Tomales Bay Trail. The blueschist blocks are part of the extensive belt of Franciscan complex along the east side of the San Andreas Fault in the Point Reyes National Seashore region.
