The CCC was a government work relief program that ran from 1933 to 1942 in the United States that provided employment and vocational training for unemployed youths, as well as for war veterans and Indians, through conservation and natural resources development work. The CCC was part of President Franklin D. Roosevelt's New Deal and aimed to create jobs for the unemployed while conserving natural resources. The program was supervised by the Department of Labor and Department of War.
