Detailed Description

In some places, changing climate conditions have caused the landscape to transform into a new type of ecosystem. Floods associated with sea level rise are making coastal forests along the Chesapeake Bay saltier. This is creating “ghost forests”, where trees die off and the forest is replaced by marshes.
