CONUS - Historical - 2005

A map outlining Land Use and Land Cover (LULC) in the conterminous United States in 2005, created by the USGS Earth Resources Observation and Science Center. The historical LULC baseline conditions used to create the map were derived from 1.) a modified version of the 1992 National Land Cover Dataset, 2.) calibration and modeling of the 1992 to 2000 LULC change estimates by the U.S. Geological Survey's Land Cover Trends project, and 3.) change estimates for 2001 to 2005 from the 2001 and 2006 National Land Cover Dataset products.
