Corn growing along an agricultural drainage ditch

Corn growing along an agricultural drainage ditch.  On both sides, the corn is planted all the way up to the slope leading to the drainage ditch.  The vegetation in the ditch is dense, providing a rich ecosystem for small fish, bugs, and algae, and helping retain sediment and organic matter, important for cycling and retention of nitrogen.
