Eaton holding a slender-snouted crocodile (Mecistops cataphractus)
Detailed Description
While surveying for African dwarf crocodiles (Osteolaemus tetraspis) on the Djidji River in Gabon’s Ivindo NP as part of my Ph.D. research (2007), Eaton pulled this 2.4 m slender-snouted crocodile (Mecistops cataphractus) from a fishing net in which it became entangled while trying to steal a fish.
