Posters from South Dakota State University and University of South Dakota college students and EROS staff members line the atrium November 13, 2024, for the Fall Poster Session at the USGS Earth Resources Observation and Science (EROS) Center. Madison DeJarlais (right), a master’s student at SDSU, is studying surface water change in the prairie pothole region, which extends across North Dakota, Minnesota, South Dakota and Iowa. EROS scientists Jesslyn Brown (frontt left) and Kristi Sayler asked questions about her research and her future plans. “This is my dream job,” DeJarlais said.
