Detailed Description

Example of Time-Domain Electromagnetic Data: The figure above shows an example of Time-Domain Electromagnetic data inverted to produce a 1D-conductivity model.  When compared with a borehole EM conductivity log, there is good correlation between the two methods.  This technique will be utilized by the USGS in this study to fill in gaps where no drilling is possible, and to help inform drilling-site selection for the delineation of saltwater intrusion. (Public domain)
