Flooding of Greybull River near Basin, Wyoming, June 1963. Residents observed standing waves over 8 feet in height (Gillette Standard and Tribune, June 20, 1963). Peak flow was 19,400 cubic feet per second at U.S. Geological Survey streamflow-gaging station 06277500 (upper left corner of photograph; photograph from U.S. Geological Survey files).
