Guela Vazquez-Meves, USGS Animal Care and Use Coordinator 

Guela joined the USGS as the Biosecurity Specialist for the Ecosystems Mission Area, and now as the USGS Animal Welfare Coordinator. She blends both worlds, bringing together biosecurity and animal welfare to guide national science efforts and ensure wildlife research is safe and ethical.
