The June Bug, whose babies are some of the white grubs you with you wouldn't find in your garden, but at least they are native and you should really share your world..... but wait, that is not all, there are many, many, species including all sorts of cryptic interesting ones that, if you are in Maryland you should send specimens to the Maryland Scarab Inventory Project.
