Detailed Description
In 1987, the National Fishery Research Laboratory in Gainesville, Florida is upgraded to the National Fisheries Research Center, which includes facilities at Stuttgart, Arkansas, and Marion, Alabama. The Laboratory’s mission was expanded to include research on freshwater and estuarine species, aquaculture methods, and imperiled species in the southeast.
Observations of non-native aquatic species in the United States are tracked on a paper map with many push pins.
