Detailed Description
Rosy-finches banded at the long-term Sanda Crest banding site. Pictured, starting top left and going clockwise, Black, Brown-capped, Gray-crowned, and Gray-crowned (Hepburn's) Rosy-finches. Rosy-Finches are unique in that they are adapted to living at high elevations and high latitudes and are able to endure harsh conditions like extreme cold and low oxygen levels.
