THUMBNAIL - Event Recording: Explore USGS Careers in Florida and the Caribbean – Research Panel

Three USGS Centers held this virtual event on February 23, 2023 to showcase various science career paths within USGS: the Caribbean-Florida Water Science Center, St. Petersburg Coastal and Marine Science Center, and Wetland and Aquatic Research Center. Attendees learned about the goals, philosophy, and the research conducted at each location; viewed a workshop on USAJOBS—the federal hiring website; and were invited to join three topic-specific panel discussions with USGS staff.

During this Research Panel, scientists with expertise in Biology and Ecosystems, Coastal and Marine Hazards and Resources, and Water Resources discuss their academic background, scientific experience, current research, and career paths.
