Trained scent-detection dog and dog trainer at work in Hanalei NWR on the island of Kauai, Hawaii. Dogs are being trained to sniff out the endangered ducks (Koloa maoli (Anas wyvilliana) and Laysan ducks (A. laysanensis) that die of avian botulism.
