USGS diver in Florida Keys

A U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) diver finishes installing ocean chemistry monitoring equipment on Sombrero Reef, Florida Keys. The objectives of this research are to monitor the rate and direction of flow and contamination concentrations of saline groundwater in the Florida Keys and Florida Bay to determine if nutrient and other contaminant concentrations are rising, and to provide a baseline of data for future decision-making.
