USGS EROS Interns Study Fire in Sequoia National Park
Detailed Description
Hazel Mebius stands in front of a burned but live sequoia in Sequoia National Park. Mebius was taking part in a summer-long internship with USGS Earth Resources Observation and Science (EROS) Fire Science, studying fire severity and comparing traditional field measurements with lidar scans. She will continue to work part time analyzing the data collected through the school year.
