USGS Hydrologic Technician Collecting Water-Quality Samples

USGS Crews routinely collect water-quality samples on Iowa's streams throughout the year that are analyzed for various constituents. Collecting these samples involves collecting water at multiple locations across the width of the stream as well as from the entire depth at each location so that the sample represents the entire stream and not just one single point.
