USGS scientist collects groundwater from coastal wetlands

Detailed Description

Scientists at the Woods Hole Coastal and Marine Science Center study the role of groundwater in delivering nitrogen, carbon, phosphorus, and various greenhouse gases to coastal ecosystems. Studies are particularly focused on how groundwater discharge is related to declines in estuarine water quality and to changes in coastal ecosystems resulting from climate change.
