Walleye

Detailed Description
The Wisconsin Cooperative Fishery Research Unit (WICFRU) continues to work with the Wisconsin and Michigan Departments of Natural Resources (DNR) to better understand walleye spawning behavior and post-spawning dispersal of walleyes in Green Bay. This walleye was collected by Michigan DNR from Little Bay de Noc and was implanted with a transmitter by WICFRU personnel that allows researchers to track the movements of this fish throughout the year. This research is funded by the Great Lakes Fish and Wildlife Restoration Act administered by the U. S. Fish and Wildlife Service.
