Behind the scenes of a water-quality monitor cleaning inspection
Detailed Description
Take a peek at what it's like to maintain our water-quality monitor on the Willamette River, Morrison Bridge, Portland. Monitoring equipment is housed inside the bridge dolphin—the wooden structure that acts like a bumper to protect the bridge pier. To inspect it, technicians climb down into the dolphin, where green light from the water fills the space. Click "show captions" to get a guided walkthrough.
