This recording of a public webinar highlights new features of Water Data for the Nation (WDFN) and the NWISWeb decommissioning effort. The webinar began with a thorough presentation of all the new features of WDFN that help deliver water data to the public, cooperators, and other water data users such as the redesigned homepage (https://waterdata.usgs.gov/), daily data, field measurements, statistics, modernized Water Data APIs, and documentation. Then, the presenters outlined plans for decommissioning NWISWeb, explaining what will be decommissioned and when, and provided examples of how to find related functionality in WDFN. The Q&A portion of the webinar provided a chance to answer users' questions, such as how to create more custom or large-scale queries in the Water Data APIs, how will additional metadata be presented on the Monitoring Location Pages, and about the fate of certain NWISWeb features such as peaks, water year summaries, and flow duration graphs.
