TRAILS planning support application virtual hands-on workshops
What: In February, we are restarting our monthly virtual hands-on workshops for users to gain experience working with the TRAILS planning support tool. We can also schedule on-demand workshops for a group from a single organization or a team working on trail planning projects. To schedule a workshop, please email trails@usgs.gov.
Please pass along this information to anyone who may be interested in attending.
When: 2nd Wednesday of every month at 11am MT. Upcoming workshop/office hours dates: February 12, 2025; March 12, 2025; and April 9, 2025.
Who: The workshop is designed for individuals involved in planning new trails or improving existing trail systems intended for public use. This includes professionals working directly for, or in partnership with, government land management agencies. Typical roles may include landscape architects, land management planners, trail designers/builders, and experts in wildland fire and emergency services.
Participants receive access to the TRAILS planning support tool for 90 days, allowing them to use the tool and provide feedback. Extensions may be granted on a case-by-case basis, depending on individual use cases and resource availability.
Sign-Up: Space is limited, so email trails@usgs.gov to sign up. Please provide your name, affiliation, contact information, and a short description on what you hope to learn or how you hope to apply knowledge gained from this workshop.
