Hydrotech job openings in Fort Worth, El Paso, and Lubbock offices

Update: These positions have closed.

Looking for a fun and challenging job where you get to spend a lot of your time outdoors?   We have current job openings for hydrologic technicians in our Fort Worth, El Paso, and Lubbock offices.

Installing continuous monitoring equipment
Installing USGS data collection equipment

USGS Hydrologic Technicians (Hydrotechs) are the front line of the USGS water data collection network.   In the field, on perfect (and not so perfect) Texas days, they're installing gages, checking routine gage functions, and troubleshooting equipment malfunctions.   They're the first ones out during and after a flood, as soon as it is safe to do so, to ensure that critical data are available to all.   And in between, they're reviewing data, making sure that USGS data meet high standards for accuracy and dependability.

The Texas Water Science Center has three current Hydrotech openings, one each in the Fort Worth, El Paso, and Lubbock offices.

Full job descriptions and application are available through USA Jobs:

These positions close soon.   They're open to all US citizens, so please forward to anyone you know who might be interested.
