Supplemental Sea Lamprey Controls (SupCon)
Dr. Nick Johnson (GLSC, Millersburg, Michigan) presented an overview of the development and application of supplemental sea lamprey controls (SupCon) for Advisors of the Great Lakes Fishery Commission during the Commission's Annual Meeting on May 25, 2021. Supplemental sea lamprey controls target the migratory adult and juvenile life stages and include traps, attractant pheromones, and repellent stimuli. The talk highlighted why supplemental controls may be more effective and efficient when applied using collaboratives with local and regional agencies.
