Lucy Jones Presents Session for 2016 International Crisis and Risk Communication Conference

Dr. Lucy Jones participated in the 2016 International Crisis and Risk Communication (ICRC) conference in Orlando, Florida March 7-9, co-presenting a session together with Egill Hauksson (Caltech) titled “Delivering and Interpreting Earthquake Information during Crises and Peacetime.” The session debunked myths and misunderstanding of earthquakes and discussed ways in which more effective communication techniques, and perhaps earthquake early warning technology, may help move toward addressing such misunderstandings.
