The Western Association of Fish and Wildlife Agencies (WAFWA) coordinated an effort with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, Bureau of Land Management, U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), state wildlife agencies and universities to provide a comprehensive assessment of the sagebrush ecosystem in the Sagebrush Conservation Strategy—Challenges to Sagebrush Conservation report.  Nicole DeCrappeo (Northwest and North Central CASC Director), Steven Jackson (Southwest and South Central CASC Director), and Robin O'Malley (former North Central CASC Director, now retired), were the co-conveners for the Chapter L. Climate Adaptation writing team.
