SAFRR Presents for Chinese Delegation
A Chinese delegation from the People's Republic of China visited Reston, VA on the morning of April 13th to learn more about USGS efforts related to disaster management and resiliency. SAFRR's Kris Ludwig organized and facilitated the meeting as well as presenting on the DOI Strategic Sciences Group, and Erin Burkett gave a presentation to share SAFRR projects, scenarios, and resources. Other USGS presenters included Mike Blanpied, Timothy Cohn, Jonathan Godt on Earthquake, Flood, and Landslide Hazard Response, Products, and Public Education. The attentive audience asked a number of questions that evidenced their interest and appreciation for the provision of USGS and SAFRR resources.
