Data Releases
The data collected and the techniques used by USGS scientists should conform to or reference national and international standards and protocols if they exist and when they are relevant and appropriate. For datasets of a given type, and if national or international metadata standards exist, the data are indexed with metadata that facilitates access and integration.

Data used in projected air and water temperatures for selected regions of the upper San Francisco Estuary and Yolo Bypass under 20 scenarios of climate change 2020-2099 Data used in projected air and water temperatures for selected regions of the upper San Francisco Estuary and Yolo Bypass under 20 scenarios of climate change 2020-2099
Understanding the effects of climate change is a substantial challenge in estuarine systems because the mixing of freshwater and ocean water adds complexity to climate change projections. Such climate change projections have been conducted in the San Francisco Estuary as part of the U.S. Geological Survey's CASCaDE Project. In this project, we assessed downscaled air temperature data...
Santa Ana River Native Fish Population and Habitat Data, Santa Ana River, California, 2020 Santa Ana River Native Fish Population and Habitat Data, Santa Ana River, California, 2020
This dataset includes 2020 reach fish data and reach habitat data collected to support development of the upper Santa Ana River Habitat Conservation Plan for the Santa Ana Sucker (Catostomus santaanae) and the Arroyo Chub (Gila orcutti) in the Santa Ana River, California.
Data used in projected flow analysis in Yolo Bypass under 20 scenarios of climate change Data used in projected flow analysis in Yolo Bypass under 20 scenarios of climate change
Yolo Bypass is an ecological feature of the Bay-Delta ecosystem in California that provides floodplain habitat for spawning and rearing of Sacramento Splittail (Pogonichthys macrolepidotus) and rearing of juvenile Chinook Salmon (Oncorhynchus tshawytscha) when inundated. We used outputs from 10 climate change models for two Representative Concentration Pathways (RCPs) for greenhouse gas
Aerial Imagery, Benthic Macroinvertebrate, Topographic Survey, and Soil Survey datasets collected for a study of Effects of Culverts on the Natural Conditions of Streams in the East Gulf Coastal Plain of Alabama, 2010-2019 Aerial Imagery, Benthic Macroinvertebrate, Topographic Survey, and Soil Survey datasets collected for a study of Effects of Culverts on the Natural Conditions of Streams in the East Gulf Coastal Plain of Alabama, 2010-2019
The Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT) and the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) studied several sites in the northern East Gulf Coastal Plain of Alabama to investigate effects of newly installed box culverts on the natural conditions of the streams they are traversing (Pugh and Gill, 2021). Data collection for the study spanned approximately 10 years and included before-, during-...
Pre-computed mean January maximum and minimum temperature rasters from PRISM 1981-2010 from the conterminous United States, for the StreamStats Fire-Hydrology application 2021 Pre-computed mean January maximum and minimum temperature rasters from PRISM 1981-2010 from the conterminous United States, for the StreamStats Fire-Hydrology application 2021
The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) computed rasters of pre-solved values for the watersheds draining to the pixel delineation point representing the watershed's mean maximum and minimum January temperature from PRISM 1981-2010 4km data (resampled to 30m resolution). These values, which cover the conterminous United States, will be served in the National StreamStats Fire-Hydrology...
Data Files for the Development of Regression Equations for the Estimation of the Magnitude and Frequency of Floods at Rural, Unregulated Gaged and Ungaged Streams in Puerto Rico through Water Year 2017 (ver. 1.1, September 2021) Data Files for the Development of Regression Equations for the Estimation of the Magnitude and Frequency of Floods at Rural, Unregulated Gaged and Ungaged Streams in Puerto Rico through Water Year 2017 (ver. 1.1, September 2021)
Estimates of the magnitude of peak-flows were updated for the 50-, 20-, 10-, 4-, 2-, 1-, 0.5-, and 0.2-percent chance exceedance levels for 91 rural, unregulated streamgaging stations on the main island of Puerto Rico. These stations required 10 or more years of annual peak-flow record, using data to 2017, for inclusion in the study. The magnitude and frequency of floods at selected...
