AGAP is currently partnering on the development of national species distribution models for a couple hundred widely distribution fresh water fishes. Those models are being built using the national spatial data framework to ensure consistency and compatibility with datasets our stakeholders use. An initial conservation assessment based on 150 fresh water fish distribution models is in review. We will make those data available through the ScienceBase Repository soon. We anticipate continuing to expand the species modeling efforts to enhance the understanding of aquatic biodiversity and management needs throughout the nation.
