The Everglades Depth Estimation Network ([EDEN](https://sofia.usgs.gov/eden/)) provides water-level data for scientists, decision-makers, and managers to help monitor and assess Everglades restoration. EDEN is an integrated network of over 300 water-level gages, water-surface models, and ecological applications that provides continuous data for interpolated water-level and water-depth surfaces across the freshwater part of the Greater Everglades landscape.
Here we provide a user guide for working with EDEN data in R. Our aim is to reach users who have some familiarity with R but not much experience working with GIS files or time series of spatial data.
