Evaluating egg translocation as a management strategy for improving recruitment in a drought-threatened vernal pool obligate species
June 15, 2026
This software release contains three R scripts that comprise an RShiny App to simulate scenarios and evaluate the optimal decision to move egg masses. The user is able to specify the size and number of egg masses in the donor and recipient pools as well as the number of recipient pools. The app will then display the number of metamorphs gained by moving the selected number of egg masses to each of the recipient pools and returns the optimal pool, number of egg masses to move, and number of metamorphs gained.
