September 7, 2018

The Geospatial Route Interface Tool (GRIT) is a Microsoft Windows desktop, graphical user interface application, written in an open source programming language (Python) that references ESRI Geographic Information System (GIS) python functions. The software streamlines and refines the process of analyzing transportation data and natural resources data, thereby improving the efficiency and standardization of travel management procedures for making land management recommendations and decisions relating to the interactions of routes and natural resources. The GRIT software is designed to meet the BLM regulations and the objectives defined below, but the software can support any organization with similar requirements.
