Sentinel Satellite Imagery Download Scripts

The Python script downloads Sentinel 1 & 2 imagery for the user defined study site areas of interest (AOI). The script reads in geospatial bounds of the study site AOI, and accesses Copernicus Data Base Ecosystem using the European Space Agency's Open Earth Observation system. The script then queries this system for available satellite imagery within the study site AOI, determines whether the imagery has been previously downloaded to the local systematic file structure, then downloads any novel imagery along with adjoining metadata. The script must be run manually from a python terminal and requires that the user provide their Copernicus Data Base Ecosystem login credentials by using a link that will appear in the python terminal when first running the script.
