New! We have updated our map search tools to make it easier for you to explore all planetary maps that have been published through the USGS or are currently in progress.
Search for maps
In the new map search tools, you can search by author, keyword, feature name, publication year, and SIM number. You can also complete measurements, run queries, and view map details (including links to the publication page and interactive maps) within the search interface. Click on the planetary bodies below to search for maps.
Request a paper map
Do you have a favorite map that you want to hang on your wall? Are you teaching a class and looking for materials? As a public government agency, the USGS provides free paper copies of our maps to the planetary science community to promote and encourage open science for all.
Browse the maps using the catalog above to find the required information needed to submit a request (USGS map number and title). Please note that maps are available on a first come, first served basis and our supplies are limited, so we can not guarantee that we will be able to provide the exact map requested.
