USGS works in close coordination with many partner agencies and organizations (several identified below) to provide essential science to help ensure the health and function of the San Francisco Bay/Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta ecosystem. Research topics include water quantity and quality, environmental contamination, animals and habitat, natural hazards, land subsidence, and climate impacts.
