Acoustic Index Method for Estimating Fluvial Suspended Sediment - In Person

Before attending this course, you must complete the course above, Sound Sediment Science

This course teaches the fundamentals of estimating suspended sediment concentrations in rivers using backscatter from single frequency acoustics, following procedures in U.S. Geological Survey Techniques and Methods Report 3-C5, Sediment Acoustic Index Method for Computing Continuous Suspended-Sediment Concentrations. The course is in-person and is approximately 32 hours.

How do I sign up?

USGS employee can register for these training courses in DOI Talent. All other interested parties can contact the Sediment Acoustics Leadership Team via email for more information about course registration.
