Alisa Shtabnoy
Alisa Shtabnoy is a Physical Scientist with the USGS Geology, Energy & Minerals (GEM) Science Center in Reston, VA.
As a Physical Scientist for the Geology, Energy & Minerals Science Center, Alisa Shtabnoy works in the Naturally Occurring Radioactive Material (NORM) Laboratory, as part of the Advancements in Geochemistry and Geomicrobiology of Energy Resources (AGGER) project. She received her B.S. in Geology from the University of Mary Washington in 2024. Alisa previously interned with the USGS MD-DE-DC Water Science Center, where she also collaborated with the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) as a Guest Researcher. Her previous work focused on the validation of hyperspectral instrumentation and identification of Harmful Algal Blooms (HABs).
